School Based Counseling

Behavioral health symptoms are one of the main causes of students failing, under-achieving, or receiving disciplinary actions in the school environment.  Helping behaviorally challenged students adapt and succeed in the school environment is one of ACaP’s primary goals. ACaP has teams of Licensed Mental Health Professionals and Qualified Behavioral Health Providers on-site daily in the schools of the counties served by our offices. Throughout the school day, we work on-site in classrooms and in private office areas in the schools with students experiencing behavioral health issues. Our constant care and availability in the schools enable these students thrive and experience success. Our on-site school teams also work with teachers and other school officials to make adjustments in the classroom to accommodate the needs of behaviorally challenged students. We provide information about students’ diagnoses, symptoms, and how to manage client symptoms in school environment.
